2016!

Standard

I do really enjoy writing. I have allowed myself to become so busy that my blog got pushed back..way back.

You know how a mom is, want to do so many, many hobbies. I still love Plexus, I got really involved with sharing the products and my story!

I have been quilting!

I have been serving the Lord!!!

Taking care of my husband, kids, and grand-kids! Furbabies!

Now I have a new Bucket List to work on! My new word this year:

PURGE…deleting unwanted items from my home, deleting unwanted fat from my body! So far ¬†slow but good. I am keeping tract so I can see the victory ūüôā

Homeschooling is still going on and we are running at our own pace, each students ūüėČ ¬†The cats are fun to watch. 3 teen kittens and my older cat. I need to find pictures for you, being that I’m (sadly) just like a cat mom, I have too many pictures.

Plexus Facebook still going! Plexus website is new! Love it, new look check it out!

May, maybe Be about Gone

Standard

Should I say I am sorry? Time has slipped away from me since April and it snowed. I will take the time to post pictures later, because I think that is what  people really like more than anything.

As I sit here, I see baby robins messing around in their nest as the wind is kicking up and it is not safe for them. Where is their mama???? ¬†She needs to make them sit still, their nest is in the back of our portable basketball goal, I am scared for them. I don’t want them to fall out!

This is what has happened:

I had to put my 17 year old Shasta cat to sleep ūüė¶ ¬†she had a tumor and failing kidneys… I could not watch her suffer any longer…and it came upon me so quickly!

The first part of May our son graduated! A joyous occasion!! We had graduation, Caleb spoke, his dad spoke, I handed his his diploma and we hugged and said I love you and tried not to cry…..

The next day had to take my father in law by ambulance to hospital from Sunday School, he had fainted, but we thought it could have been ¬†his heart or stroke (he is 94 yrs)… he is fine, he truly fainted!

The next week end…that same son called from work with a blind spot in his eye…to the eye doc we went…..to the hospital we went on Saturday for emergency surgery for a torn, detached retina to the right eye. { hard to have your 18 year old go through this} but God is Good all the time and I know He is in control….

Time went by fast….missed my bucket list dead line for getting Caleb’s quilt finished…. and other things I am catching up on besides this blog…pictures will come…we had meetings…I have had health issues…my oldest daughter is engaged! So much to tell you! ‚̧

Our son is enrolled in college, I am working on weight lose, working on the quilt again, keeping grandsons for the summer months….life is picking up!

Blessings,

Cat

Day 4 Thursday, of Spring Break

Standard

This week is truly flying by for me! I have not sat at my sewing machine all week long. Bummer! ¬†Still I was proud to get some much needed work done around the house and time was well spent with my youngest daughter K. Today’s¬†forecast¬†..hasn’t¬†happened¬†yet and don’t think it will; rain turn to snow 30% chance. It’s 35*F right now and it feels cold out there. My outdoor cat Shasta wants in the garage, but she can handle the outdoors. She has shelter.

!. Looking for bag pattern and purse pattern this morning   free downloadable bags   ton of choices! Here is what we picked  reversible tote bag

2. We didn’t get snow, but Friday morning we did get a very small amount that melted by 9am-10am

3. We had fish that Fred caught last summer, bass and catfish, love the taste of fresh caught! Sure glad he likes to fish. (thank you honey) and I made cookies!

4. Can’t¬†believe¬†I didn’t get this posted on Thursday ūüė¶ ¬† We watched Lord of the Rings, Two towers, stayed up way late!¬†Because¬†we needed to watch basketball again. It is March Madness after all!

5. K started hand stitching the binding on her lap quilt! She has a bag to make over the week end.

Day 2 Spring Break

Standard

Woke up to a cloudy morning, 32* so far today, I have full day planned! I am going to do all I can to get ALL of it done. I live a simple life of a mom, no flash but that is alright with me. I am healthy. My kids and grand-kids and husband and parents are healthy! I will take the simple life with good health. here we go with our day….

Starting over on my nails, had to do ‘nail repair’ one was breaking way to deep and it would have hurt to trim it so I got out my super glue and gauze. I cut a tiny piece of gauze first, laid it¬†aside¬†while¬†applying a drop of super glue to both sides of my broken nail then¬†laid¬†the¬†gauze¬†on top of the glue. I let it dry really well, then ‘sanded’ the rough edges and top off to make a smooth nail, applied my nail¬†strengthener¬†and polish.¬†

K, did her school work, then went to visit a friend this afternoon of spring beak. I worked on editing and buying senior pictures of  son C. Now to buy announcements tomorrow. We watched the Hobbit tonight at home  and had popcorn while drinking sweet tea. I had to work on the afghan and do some much needed meal planning.

And that was our Day #2….oh, I did walk for 30 minutes! I plan to keep telling you that one so I keep myself accountable, it’s more for me than YOU! So, I am now working on 2 items on my 2013 bucket list,¬†weight¬†loss/eat healthy and my daughter’s afghan! good-night, it is 1:00 am ¬†for me.

Day 1 of Spring Break

Standard

First off I decided to to walk, need to get that habit¬†established¬†so why not today! I suppose I will just give you a run down of our first day on spring break. It’s 42* ;We did one subject of school, math and had lunch then made a cake.¬†Chocolate¬†Peanut butter Cake. As we were getting ready to make the frosting ¬†I¬†began¬†to¬†frantically¬†look around the kitchen and in the freezer for the much needed powdered sugar. No where to be found was¬†enough¬†powdered¬†sugar for the frosting, we needed 3 cups. so, K was off to the office to ask her had to take her to the grocery store, he said yes. (here I am waiting and¬†writing).

Just received a phone call from K on her dad’s phone asking me if I wanted a Sonic drink, being a weakling I said yes. (so much for my 30 minute walk). Now I am waiting for the return of K and her dad. As a side note, I am not feeling well, I hope it is not something that gets worse.

I did start feeling better, we had dinner, K made snicker doodle cookies ¬† ūüôā ¬† ¬†going back and forth while we watched a movie called ¬†Joyful Noise! I was working on a bucket list item, my oldester daughter’s afghan, I shall be finished with it SOON ¬†(jump for joy) ūüėÄ ¬†I am doing the border now, picture will come when I am done.
